I am writing to you regarding the parking situation around school as I have received a number of complaints from local residents and parents.
Firstly, the staff car park is NOT to be used for turning round or parking as the spaces need to be kept free for school staff or visitors to the school who have permission. We also need to ensure disabled parking spaces are available. The road leading into the staff car park must also be kept clear so emergency vehicles can access the school site. Please also show consideration for our neighbours who live there.
In addition to this, the main parking area used by parents for drop-off and collection is Middlesbrough Council property and therefore is not the responsibility of school or the Diocese. I have noticed that the grass verges are getting churned up by vehicles so I ask you to show consideration when choosing where to park. As I have said, this is Council land so if you have any queries or concerns about the parking situation please bring it to my attention or contact Middlesbrough Council on 01642 726001 and ask to speak to someone from the Highways Department.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
